Shareholder Disputes

In corporations or limited liability companies (LLC’s) there are often disagreements among the shareholders and members over how to operate the company.  All members and shareholders have certain rights under Michigan law. Minority shareholders that are shut out or have their share values diluted often bring shareholder oppression suits.  Officers and Directors of companies have certain fiduciary duties to each other and the shareholders and often claims of self- dealing or failure to represent all of the shareholders will be made in these cases.
