Employment Contracts, Trade Secrets and Confidential Information

In most businesses employees are required not to disclose any of the business’ trade secrets or confidential information even after leaving employment.  These requirements can be part of an employee contract or found in a company’s employee manual.  These requirements are typically enforceable as long as the company uses reasonable means to protect the information and keep it from the public.  Many cases involve disputes over what are a company’s trade secrets or whether company information is really confidential
